Testimonials and Clients
- I have both facilitated and been part of many team building and development sessions but I have to say that the LTL Corporate programme provided the WOW factor! I loved working with the horses and have no doubt at all that I can well relate and apply everything we did on the programme to my work with humans!! The programme also taught me a lot about myself as a leader and will help me to observe people for the really subtle non-verbal messages they are giving me in the future. Thank you Sarah and Amanda, this programme should be compulsory! Barbara Broadbent, Improvement Manager NE (NHS Service)
- If you consider the concept of working with horses to assist in management development and team building absurd, then think again. I have had horses for many years and some may say therefore easily converted - however one of the delegates was positively terrified of them and he too very quickly could see how much this new venture has to offer.
One of the most innovative things about 'Learning To Listen' is that the responses of those taking part, and the horse, are real and instant. If you are not making your self clear, if you always tend to lead from the front, or if you just sit back and let things take their own course you will be amazed how the team here will be able to pick that up and feed it back. Your leadership/ management style will probably have a truer indication of where it is using these techniques than could ever be created by one of the many psychometric tests available. Such tests do indeed have much value - but the person can also take time to consider their answers - they can't here.
If you are looking for something a little different, which will guarantee to get even the most reluctant team member to join in then this is for you. If you want honest feedback and a fresh look as how to take your team forward then I would recommend you consider this as your next team building event. Dee Trainer, Front of House Manager (Swinton Park Hotel) - Our team are now closer, trust each other more and have a connection that just was not there before the course at Learning to Listen. It should be compulsory for all managers to attend this at least once during their career! Helen Beioley, AVP General Manager (TK Maxx)
- The concept of working with horses in order to train people seemed a little mystical to me to say the least. Having now experienced the world of equine assisted training I am most definitely a convert. It was incredible to see how the horses summed up each of the delegates and their individual management styles - It really was enlightening!
I would absolutely recommend anybody to spend time with the Learning to Listen corporate training team. David Moore, Director (Moore Trades Property Development) - Sarah and the Learning To Listen team work with a great balance of enthusiasm, humour and above all professional skills. All of these delivered with total confidence whilst in a unique and beautiful environment. You will learn to listen for the "little" things that make all the difference to you, your teams and your workplace. Steve Chestnutt, General Manager (Ripley Castle and Estates)
- Your Symposium exercises and introduction were such a great experience for everyone – you did a great job The Foxworth Team (USA)
- I have found this to be both a unique and completely enlightening experience. It has opened my mind to the way I think and my eyes to the way I communicate. I have learned to recognize the non-verbal communication between myself and others and how that can be so powerful in building and shaping relationships. I am already reaping the benefits of clearer communication with my peers and with those who work for me. I truly believe the inner confidence I have found from the honest and open feedback has been a real enabler for me to become a clearer and more dynamic leader. Kate Payne, General Manager (TK Maxx Distribution)
