ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring

Learning to Listen’s partner; Blue Sky and You Ltd, offers a Level 5 coaching qualification accredited by the Institute of Leadership Management. This programme offers experiential learning, practice and feedback to develop participant’s coaching skills.

Practical

Coaching is a practical activity so as well as teaching you the theory we focus on the professional application of your learning, giving you the opportunity to experience the roles of coach, coachee and observer.

Personal

A coach’s own personal development is often overlooked during training, resulting in poor practice. Our programme facilitates both skills development and personal growth.

Psychological

Coaching issues are invariably grounded in the cognitive and emotional.  As part of our training we give participants the tools to explore the client’s inner world and therefore facilitate greater understanding and lasting change.

• Monthly facilitated modules
• Pre and post session reading and research
• Self-facilitated learning groups
• Personal coaching
• Supervision
• Assessment requirements

This provides in excess of 70 guided learning hours.

Assessment for certification consists of:

A work based assignment which is identified by the ILM and submitted at the end of the programme.

A reflective journal which participants will complete throughout the programme, providing a record of personal development, coaching practice and reflection on practice.

Coaching Sessions, participants are required to complete a minimum of 12 hours coaching practice back in the work place.

Coaching Assessment, participants will be assessed on their coaching skills during a live coaching session at the end of the programme.
