Learning to Listen testimonials and feedback
“I booked on the Warrior Foundation Programme for both personal and professional development. I run a busy marketing, business development and PR consultancy and felt the Programme would offer me a different outlook on the way I work, but would also add value to me at home, after a year of personal family issues. I have never been a “horse person”, and if I am honest am a bit terrified of them. 5 months on, I have completed the Foundation Programme and have seen a huge benefit to both my relationships personally and my work. I would strongly recommend this programme to anyone and everyone as an opportunity to take a step back and take control of the treadmill of work and life to move forward positively. The team are brilliant. I now have an upmost respect for horses, have lost my fear of them, and feel the calm they bring. What an amazing opportunity! Thanks LTL”
Kerry Haynes, Warrior Foundation Programme January - May 2016, Learning to Listen South
I have just had a lovely day with my four children at the Family Fun Day in the South – lots of fun, riding, painting, beautiful horses, dogs, and chickens. The children really enjoyed spending time with the ponies and I enjoyed the opportunity to meet other families and to have a brief sit down and relax with the team. It was a really well organised day and I certainly hope to do it again in the future. Well done Jo, Becky, Jade, Sarah, Russell, Marianne, Sally, Shantel, Dave and Sarah.
Sarah Readings has provided coaching to me which I have found to be effective, exceedingly good value for money and a very supportive and personalised process. She has helped me to enhance my career as well as improving my work-life balance. I also learned an immeasurable amount about myself as a manager, colleague and personally. All of my interactions with Sarah have not only enabled me to become a more effective leader but they will also help me to advance my career moving forward and will further boost my own happiness. I could not recommend Sarah more highly.

The team provided a thought provoking and inspirational leadership coaching. The friendly and pleasant atmosphere at the farm gives a relaxing but tailored place to learn. Being able to try techniques learnt in the classroom on the horses, whilst daunting, was magical by proving with immediate feedback that leading teams from behind gets results. Highly recommended and the skills you learn are mirrored by the team you lead. Thanks for a great experience.

Thanks for this fantastic day, it was very interesting working with the horses and how it relates to good teamwork. I have learnt the importance of good communication and organisation of the team, setting the goals and how we will do the tasks before we start.
It is not an exaggeration to say that Sarah’s influence has been life changing for me. I did my ILM 5 Coaching with her a couple of years ago, which was a wonderful experience. Sarah is one of the most intuitive and insightful people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Her ‘killer coaching questions’ always got to the core immediately leading to endless light bulb moments and learning. At the time the coaching led me to change my attitude in my personal and professional life – and I was much happier as a result. In the longer term it led me to change my career entirely as I was able to recognise what I really, really wanted to do… and take responsibility for making that happen. Now as the CEO of a mental health charity I am exploring how we can use coaching as a way to empower our clients on their recovery journey. Aside from that Sarah is warm and great fun. If you want to explore coaching and want to do it properly, meaningfully and with real integrity go to Sarah. Do it with an open mind and the potential is endless. I really can’t recommend her highly enough.

Its been three years since I completed level 5 at Learning to Listen, the year of training was by far one of the most significant life altering periods of my life so far.
I had worked with people for over 20 years since leaving school and had already done several qualifications and training courses.
The training at Learning to Listen was like none I’d done before and I can’t say it was a comfortable learning style or process but I can say it was by far the most beneficial. It was challenging but through the challenges I discovered more than I thought possible about myself, how I interacted with others and also how to be do the work that I do now.
My life is almost unrecognisable from where I was before the training to where it is now. I not only had a career change through the journey I went on, I changed the direction of my whole life.
It sounds cliché but its true; doing the course caused me to re evaluate everything about myself, the choices I’d made, the future I wanted and who I wanted to be.
I learned through the coaching teaching and practice plus through the work with the horses a great balance of developing skills and also personal development with reflection that helped me re focus every area of my personal and professional life.
The course was a mix of training, teaching, experiences and practical exercises, as a group we had fun and laugher, tears and trauma but over I believe we all we had a unique and life changing experience that I don’t think any of will forget.
I came to Learning to Listen fairly confident of who I was and what I wanted out of life, I was taken beyond where I thought I could go and through this realised I’d limited so much of me and what I believed life could offer. Within weeks of finishing the course, I left the city I lived in, I left my job and I began a new chapter and I haven’t looked back. I now have four wonderful horses and I get to work with people who want to give up on life. I see lives being transformed as families find the help and support they need.
Learning to Listen helped change my life and now I get to help others change theirs.
Since 2008 Sarah has provided me with a range of coaching and OD support on a number of occasions. This has been in the form of training for my senior staff, team development days and currently as a participant on the ILM 7 Coaching course.
The support and development Sarah offers is of the highest quality. Her approach to coaching development gave my senior staff a significant and effective tool to support them whilst working in a complex HR environment. It and contributed significantly to a positive change in their performance.
My participation on Sarah’s ILM 7 coaching programme has allowed me to refine and improve my offering as a Management Consultant in a more holistic and developmental manner allowing me to offer more fundamental and integrated support to my clients.
In short, Sarah provides a truly challenging and transformational model of coaching which delivers sustainable personal and professional growth to her clients.
