General Information

Horses

You will be working with horses during your programme. The horses we work with do this for a living and are used to most things. They generally are very quiet and are comfortable with you handling them. Often there is a lot of fear associated with horses, this is a shame because if treated well they are naturally gentle, quiet beings.

The horses are worked with during every programme.

You can learn as much by being a spectator if you feel you are unable to work with the horses.

We do have all sorts of size horses and ponies to suit all needs. One of them only comes up to your knees.

Safety

We advise that you wear suitable clothing with flat, heavy-duty shoes. You can bring approved riding hats or we can provide them for you. You will be asked to sign a disclaimer to state that you are happy to work with the horses. We will provide you with any other equipment that is needed.

Information Pack

You will be sent an information pack prior to your start date, which will include: Directions, accommodation list, clothing list, outline of the programme, costs and a welcome letter.

Food

You will be provided with refreshments on arrival, a lunch (if included on your programme) and afternoon tea. Drinks are available all day.

Directions

These can be found on our contact us page or in your information packs.
