Horses bring a thought provoking approach to the idea of leadership development skills and set a high bar when it comes to authenticity, getting the job done and keeping your people with you. You and your leaders will learn a lot about your leadership style by working alongside the horses to achieve different goals. These new insights can be mapped directly across into your leadership and management techniques in the workplace and used immediately.
Who is leadership development coaching for?
If you are looking to develop your leadership skills or your leaders within your business, then our leadership development programmes are designed to inspire and challenge you. We do this by giving you the opportunity to work with a half ton animal with a mind of its own – the horse. Between you and the horse, one of you will become the leader. If you don’t step up into the leadership role the horse will and before you know it they will be doing exactly what they want to do, which is mostly eating grass!
How it works
Whether you are looking for a fun team day out or a breakthrough leadership training course for your leaders, our trainers will deliver a day beyond your expectations. The Learning to Listen Leadership Training Days are tailored to your individual needs or you can choose to work with our tried and tested model:

You choose your outcomes and we will help you get there through a series of experiential exercises with the horses. Find out straight from the horse’s mouth how well you lead, what areas you are working well in and what may be blocking you at this time.

If you follow our tried and tested leadership development training model you can achieve the following:
- Each leader will know the limiting belief that is holding them back at this time
- Each leader will know their preferred style of leadership, their strength zones and what they need to be working on
- Each leader will know how they deal with adversity
- Each leader will learn the leadership model and be able to implement it
- Each leader will create an action plan of what is important for them to implement back in the work place
Whether you choose the Leadership one day training session or the leadership development programme over 5 days (spread across one week or one day per month for 5 months), the sessions build gradually and by the end your leaders will be more dynamic in leading their teams. They will be creative and inspiring in growing their people, whilst maximising the business to its full potential.
No horse experience is necessary at all as you will be taught basic skills and be given a health and safety brief on the day.
