Spending time in the great outdoors is more of a dream than a reality for the modern office inhabiting human being whose only glimpse of daylight tends to be during the journey between the front door and the car.
Bushcraft expert Phil Pemberton wants to change all that but not because he’s worried about our need for fresh country air and exercise. His concern is for our inner wellbeing.
Phil trained with survival expert Ray Mears after realising that he had a strong affinity with nature and the outdoors.
He attended one of Ray Mears’ courses in 2004 and spent a night trying to survive alone in the woods. What should have been an uncomfortable and challenging experience made him realise that this was where he belonged.
Now Phil works alongside me at Carlshead Farm offering a new element to Learning to Listen’s corporate training programmes.
Leadership, team building and management training are most successful when those involved have an opportunity to challenge any preconceived ideas they have about themselves and their environment.
Learning to Listen’s equine assisted training programmes provide the perfect opportunity for this experience, through carefully structured and monitored exercises in the field with our horses.
Bushcraft and survival experiences can now be incorporated into your bespoke corporate training programme at Learning to Listen in the heart of Yorkshire, within easy reach of Leeds, Wetherby, York and Harrogate.
